Every night, nearly 1,900 people are homeless in greater Long Beach.
WE WANT TO CHANGE THAT.

We welcome those in need with daily essentials to help them recover from homelessness, hunger, addiction and poverty and give them the opportunity for long-term, sustained life change through God’s love and the generous support of our Long Beach community. Together, we can make a difference in countless local lives!

Meet Hope

“This Place has Changed me.”

After an upbringing void of love, an addiction and a divorce, Hope found herself stranded in Mexico with her six children. She was led there by an abusive ex-boyfriend.

She struggled to provide food for her kids. She worked setting up a taco truck, cutting cabbage, any work she could find. A full day’s work would earn her, at most, $10. But her kids were starving…

Long Beach Rescue Mission has partnered with generous friends like you for more than 40 years to make Christmas special for local children who have so little. Simply purchase new, unwrapped toys for children – newborn through 12 years old – and drop them off at the Mission before December 13.
